The National Health Mission (NHM) has introduced the official beneficiary.nha.gov.in portal to help citizens easily verify their eligibility and beneficiary status for government-backed health insurance schemes such as Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). This portal provides a seamless way for users to check their status, complete registration, and access key features of the scheme in one place.
The National Health Authority (NHA), which serves as the apex body for implementing India’s major public health insurance programme Ayushman Bharat PMJAY—is also responsible for developing strategies, building digital infrastructure, and executing the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Through coordination with central ministries, state governments, and private sectors, NHA aims to strengthen India’s digital health ecosystem.
